Bring back crazy golf

NOW that the works on the promenade have finished, for better or worse, we have what we have. Love it or hate it, over the years to come we will grow with it.

Looking with an overview of the whole project to me there is one thing missing: the crazy golf/putting green. This facility is screaming out to be reinstated. The middle section of the three greens is the ideal site - in fact the original space - to place this. I have been to Hastings to observe their facility and I saw young, old and middle-aged players having fun on the prom.

I know the council will cite cost and staff payments as a reason to say ‘no can do’ but I am going to explore other forms of funding, ie, community funding, lottery funding, etc, to see if Bexhill can get back something that has given pleasure to many over the years.

Bexhill is a great place to live and visit and crazy golf can only enhance the visitor’s experience and come on down to Bexhill. If there are any like-minded people who agree please feel free to contact me, or send your view to the Observer.
