Can anyone shed light on Bexhill's Christchurch history?

From: Mrs Chris Cox, Arthur Road, Bexhill

With our commemoration at Christchurch Methodist Church, Bexhill, of the end of WW1 coming up, we have unearthed a beautifully illustrated document listing all the Belle Hill Chapel folk who were involved in the war.

One name interested me – Parroisieu – and googling it, came across an article from the Adelaide, SA, Mail dated 9th June 1917, entitled Mrs Tom Barr Smith’s Sock Club. Amongst all the names was Mrs Parroisieu, Mount Gambier, who sent to England 187 pairs of socks – 57,140 pairs of socks were sent over the course of two years.

Are there any descendants of the Parroisieu family still in Bexhill, or anyone who can shed any light on this unusual link?
