DLWP: Get over it

IN response to Colin Hill's ongoing rant regarding the De La Warr Pavilion, I am tempted to paraphrase the Gay Pride slogan: A great many people appreciate the DLWP and the activities it hosts. Get over it.

If the direction of the Pavilion is based on the maintenance of some standards, how bad is that? You don’t need to look far to see what happens when standards are abandoned. A few steps east will take you to the appalling amusement arcade that occupies the once-splendid Cairo building.

Without the influence of the Arts Council there is little evidence that our local council will uphold any standards at all.

The Philistines are everywhere. Long live the rest.
