Does anybody care?

I LIVE in Bexhill and commute to London Charing Cross and would ask, does anybody care?

On Tuesday at 5pm I arrived at Charing Cross and I finally arrived home at 1.30am having walked the last six to seven miles in the snow in a snowstorm.

Why did I have to do this?

Because Southeastern Trains completely abandoned passengers on the Hastings line basically leaving us to fend for ourselves making no announcements at Charing Cross for at least two hours loosing each train in its turn as it was due to approach Charing Cross.

Why did I walk six to seven miles?

Because the people responsible for road gritting could not be bothered to get off their lazy good-for-nothing backsides to grit the roads. I saw one gritter on my coach journey from Tonbridge and once we reached the ridge just past Battle the roads were completely ungritted.

The Hams Travel coach driver could only get us to near Sainsburys on The Ridge where from there I walked back to Bexhill again seeing no gritters.

I would love to hear from those responsible and their excuses.

Until such time as people in authority in this area wake up to their responsibilities this area will remain the worst area to live and commute from in the whole of the South East.
