Does Bexhill have the cheapest parking in the UK?

Until I looked closely at the screen on one of the new ticket dispensers, I hadn’t realised that the charge for parking on the Seafront is £1.05 for up to 3 hours, and £2 for up to 10 hours.

These must be the lowest rates anywhere in the British Isles. If potential visitors are “put-off” from visiting Bexhill-on-Sea by these highly competitive charges, then are they people whom we realistically wish to attract?

Better, perhaps, to encourage the council to put large stickers on the ticket dispensers - drawing attention to the low prices and good value for visitors.
