Dropped kerbs on seafront

I HAVE now heard from Bexhill and Hastings Disability Forum that it has been told by officers responsible for the Next Wave scheme on Bexhill's West Parade that there will be six dropped kerbs on the promenade side of the road.

Three of these will have matching dropped kerbs on the opposite side of the road, but is not clear exactly where these crossing points will be.

Apparently, if there is a dropped kerb on one side of the road, matched by another opposite, nearby parking has to be restricted.

And if there is tactile paving approaching a crossing point, blind and partially-sighted people are signalled that the way is clear the other side.
