Exciting times for museum

Many thanks to all those who took the opportunity to support their local museum by joining with us to celebrate the public opening of the Izzard family model railway display.

‘Train set’ surely does not truly describe this wonderful new addition to our Motoring and Technology Gallery.

Special thanks of course to John and Museum patron Eddie for their unfailing good humour and courtesy when carrying out the unveiling ceremony.

These are indeed exciting times for Bexhill Museum, for in addition to the above gift, we have acquired the majority of the material from the Roman Baths in Beauport Park and in due course will receive all of the archaeological material from the length of the Link Road and other North Bexhill construction sites.

This material, plus existing collections, will form the basis of ‘Bexhill’s Lost World’, a new project revealing our local history from dinosaurs to 1066.
