Importance to Rother
I WAS interested to read in the Bexhill Observer the letter from Chris and Linda Wain in which they say 'as far as they are concerned the De La Warr Pavilion is the jewel in Bexhill's crown and 'the management are doing a fine job'. Similarly John Lee, Chairman, Bexhill Alliance, tells us in his letter the Alliance completely 'recognise and value the De La Warr's importance to Bexhill'.
Perhaps Bexhill residents need to take on board that according to Rother’s Council’s published tax base, the parishes together contribute some £4m more than Bexhill in rates. So can we look to forward to the De La Warr being a jewel in Rother’s crown and recognition of the value of the De La Warr to Rother? Somehow I doubt it!
