It was not my mistake

Against the photograph of the first flowering cherry in Bexhill's Town Hall Square, you print what I would like to presume is a joke about spring.

There you announce that the tree is a “Harbringer” of spring!

You then repeat the ‘error’ under the photograph and, worse, you attribute it to me !

Well if it isn’t a somewhat contrived pun by your editorial staff, then someone who hasn’t gone to school is at large in your office!

In anticipation of other readers commenting, may I inform you that the word concerned is harbinger and it means anything that foreshadows a future event.

I wish to make it quite clear that I am in no way responsible for this silly and repeated mistake.
