Paramedics are failed by courts

Reading in Observer (24/6/16) of attacks on paramedics taking place almost every other day made for disturbing reading.

These people are literally a lifeline for us all. Sadly, many of us possibly will all have to rely on their skills and wonderful professionalism at some time and I am sure that all of us know of someone within our family or friends that have sought their help.

Why, then, do a section of people seem to think paramedics are targets for their stupidity and anger when all they’re doing is for the good of others?

Unfortunately, the courts do not see it that way, it is just another of the many assaults on innocent people that sadly are like many crimes in the UK, not taken seriously enough and hence there seems to be little or no deterrent.
