Parking charges will ruin Bexhill

I am not a resident of Bexhill but have visited for holidays for over twenty five years as my daughter lives there.

I love Bexhill and the fact that you can park near the sea and walk or sit along the promenade . I am elderly as are so many of your residents so find walking too far difficult.

Now they are bringing in parking charges it will completely ruin the town. People won’t want to go to the town, shops will suffer. I know this has already been said but as an outsider I can see the folly of it all. Why spoil a lovely place by restricting you from enjoying the peaceful atmosphere and the charming residents.

I also was appalled when they removed the old seating shelters and put up the monstrous wooden ones. I read they are like cow sheds. How true! The town was fine as it was . However Rother District Council will get their wicked way and ruin it for the people and visitors to the town.

I do hope Bexhill manages to get a town council.
