Reassurance needed

MAY I through your paper ask Rother District Council what preventative plans it has in place regarding the annual visit from travellers on the Down during the school holidays? Last year we had about 25 caravans invading the Down and using the back fences of gardens in Newlands Avenue as their toilet. We who live in Newlands Avenue would like to be reassured by the council that it is well-prepared and has briefed the police accordingly so that we do not again have to suffer as we did last summer.
