Shabby benches,shabby town.....
COULD someone at the council please mark the location of all the memorial benches in Bexhill on an enlarged street plan, so that those responsible for their maintenance know where they all are?
Then some sort of plan for their routine maintenance is required, since some benches never seem to receive any attention.
Almost all of them require a coat or two of varnish, which depending on their exposure to the elements, should be applied every two or three years.
Shabby benches make the town look shabby.
