Thanks to all who attended

Little Common Library would like to thank all those who attended the annual volunteers lunch on February 24.

Everyone enjoyed the lunch prepared by the committee and with the raffle we raised £200.

Many thanks go to those who worked hard to make this such a successful event and to the supporters of the library.

We would also like to thank everyone who organised, set up and ran the annual open day on March 29, where we had thousands of books for sale, jigsaws, cakes, bric-a-brac, tombola and raffle.

Visitors enjoyed their morning with refreshments available.

Several people joined the library and took out books, others became Friends.

We raised a total of £530 which together with the money from the annual lunch will go towards our costs of upkeep.

The books remaining unsold were taken by HFS (Hastings Furniture Service) who are based in Dorset Place, Hastings & London Road Bexhill.

They also run a free book shop in Devonshire Road, Bexhill, where anyone can take books free of charge.

Donations of money are always welcome.

This means the books remain in circulation and are not pulped.

We are very grateful to them for collecting the books on the day.
