Park Edgy Fest now re-scheduled for June 28-29

EDGY Fest, the HOPE 2008 celebration in Egerton Park which had to be deferred last month because of police objections to a live music concert, will now take place over the weekend of June 28-29.

Changes have been to the programme to satisfy the demands of Sussex Police and Rother District Council.

The youth bands will now be performing on the Saturday afternoon instead of an evening concert.

The gospel choir will be performing on the Saturday evening. Sunday will see church events which will include an afternoon "picnic in the park."

Events in the park will end at 5pm so as not to clash with the United service at St Peter's Church at 6pm or the 8pm community hymn singing at the Colonnade.
