Pebsham school's Summer Fair

"A FANTASTIC DAY" was how head teacher Pat Strickson described Pebsham school's annual summer fair held in the school grounds last weekend.

The event was well supported, and there was plenty to keep the crowds entertained including a table top sale, tombola's, a mini train ride, strawberries & cream, raffles, cakes & refreshments, and the popular 'Beat the Goalie' game.

An added attraction at the fair was the presence of a police van and fire engine, provided by local emergency services, who were in attendance to promote their valuable work in the community.

Mrs Strickson thanked the PTA for all in their hard work organising the day, and helping to make it such a success adding:"The sun shone and the crowds turned out for a fantastic day. Many parents said it was our best ever summer fair and an amazing 2,260 was raised for school funds."
