Agincare, the operators of St Peter's Park Retirement Village, said 95 per cent of residents had received their first doses.

The majority of care home workers have also been vaccinated and the home is currently Covid free, according to Agincare, following latest guidance on PPE and carrying out regular testing.

Care home registered manager Lisa Turner said: “The vaccination roll-out feels like such a positive step forward for us all, with the prospect of brighter days coming after what has been a hard year

“All we want to do is simply give our existing and new residents a safe and happy home, including welcoming more visits from family and friends with fewer restrictions in the future.”

Agincare said it welcomed the latest figures at St Peter’s Park.

Chief Operating Officer Tim Buckley said: “We are very pleased with the positive response by our care team and residents to the vaccination programme at St Peter’s Park Retirement Village.

“Agincare is working daily with local authorities and NHS teams to ensure remaining and new care home residents are vaccinated as soon as they are able, as well as any remaining care workers across our homes nationwide.”
