Coronavirus: Award winning St Leonards Italian restaurant donates pizzas to NHS staff at Conquest Hospital

Now the award winning restaurant, on Grand Parade, St Leonards is offering a new delivery service.

Owner Aldo Eposito said: As a small family run business, we were heartbroken by the news we would have to close our restaurant for the first time in over five years.

“Whilst we knew this news may well be coming, and we understood the desperate need to control the spread of this horrible virus, nothing had prepared us for this development. Upon this realisation, we started deliberating if there was any way we could continue to support our family and customers safely whilst protecting our business for the future.

“With health and safety as our absolute priority, we soon came to the conclusion we would offer a safe, contactless delivery service free to the local area.

“As a totally new service to La Bella Vista, we have had to learn very quickly to adapt to this new reality. With a new, simplified A La Carte menu, this is becoming a more streamlined service and one which we hope will provide some joy and respite to our fantastic customers during this challenging time.

“We have also tried to support our local community and those who continue to work so hard to protect us all, having recently donated pizzas for the staff to enjoy at the conquest hospital to thank them for their selfless sacrifice.

“We have reduced the size of our team drastically and we are practising strict social distancing guidelines both within our restaurant and whilst making deliveries. Our staff will be wearing hygienic masks and gloves whilst on deliveries as well as in all food preparation areas.

“The well-being of our guests and staff is our absolute priority and please be assured that health and safety has our complete attention. This is an ever changing situation, and we continue to monitor government and PHE advice to ensure we are acting on the most up to date guidance.

“The government has advised restaurants offering a delivery service should continue to do so, and rest assured we are doing so in the most responsible manner possible. Thank you to our amazing, loyal customers who have shown us so much support as we navigate through this challenging time.

Our new delivery service is available Wednesday to Friday 3-8pm and Saturday & Sunday 12-8pm. 10% off of all prices! We offer a free local delivery service on orders over £20 within a 5 mile radius.
