Full steam ahead as Hastings Miniature Railway re-opens
Snow on the tracks first thing failed to prevent Hastings Miniature Railway enjoying a successful re-opening on Monday.
The popular Hastings old Town attraction runs trains between the seafront boating lake and Rock-a-Nore.
The team that run the attraction faced a snow flurry and cold conditions as the day started but the sun came out and visitors enjoyed taking rides.
The railway was running line tests over the weekend, prior to re-opening. Dan Radcliffe, who runs the attraction, said: “We have made a few changes, including some improvements to our Covid-safe running procedures. We are open seven days a week from 10am and hope to see you soon.”
The miniature railway in Alexandra Park, which is also operated by Dan, is back in action this week for the schools Easter break.
