Hastings mum’s balloon for son’s birth still going strong after 13 years!
Victoria Retmanski has had the balloon since her son Oliver was born at the Conquest on April 10, 2008.
She said: “My dad bought it as a celebratory present when he was born. The shop only had the small ones available and the lady said the balloon wouldn’t last long.
“My dad apologised that he couldn’t get a bigger balloon.

“I’ve also moved several times, wrapping it in bubble wrap and it’s never burst.
“Oliver thinks it’s amazing it’s stayed inflated all this time. I take a picture of it on his birthday each year and I’m trying to keep it when he reaches 18. That would be unbelievable.
“The colour has faded a bit but it’s not lost any pressure at all.
“I work at the Conquest and everyone who I’ve showed has been amazed by it.”
