Verna Irvin, the assistant manager of A1, said the manager of DC Property Maintenance offered to attend her home to sanitise her car and to sanitise her house free of charge.

The team has also recently carried out a full sanitisation of Artemis Nursery, in Hollington.

Paul Rumble, from DC Property Maintenance, said: "The best solution to obtaining a sanitised area is by a method known as fogging. This happens by using a very strong special sanitiser with a log kill 6 level of effectiveness and adding it to a fogging machine which atomises the chemical in to incredibly small droplets, so small they stay in the air a long period of time, like a cloud does killing all bacteria and viruses in the air and also covering every surface whether it’s a hard or soft surface. This method gives a level of sanitisation that even a large team of cleaners in a room could not achieve as the mist, like a cloud gets to every surface.

"We are of course a commercial business with a duty to keep trading to keep our staff employed, but we also realise that we like everyone has to also contribute to our town where possible.

"We wish we could do this free for everyone, but as I’m sure you can understand we ourselves as a business are also dealing with the same reduction in trade issues as everyone and spiralling costs of things like our chemicals and personal protection items. We will do what we can when we can as we all have to contribute to our town in this time of need.

"I would also like to add a big thank you to all the DC staff who are all going the extra mile at the moment to keep as many people as possible as safe as possible."

DC Property Maintenance asked anyone who would like to donate to help support them during this time, to call 01424 433339.
