The 'Thank you NHS' message first appeared on the field near Brede Bridge on Saturday (April 4).

Karcher Mihaela, a carer, said she noticed it on Monday (April 6) while driving from Brede to Westfield.

She said it was 'lovely to see this'.

The Howard family, who own the land - Hare Farm - confirmed they were behind the tribute, adding: "Yes it was us at Hare Farm. The sheep moved aside and the NHS has quite rightly taken centre stage."

The Howards said the family stepped away from the lambing sheds on Saturday afternoon to paint the field.

They said: "We'd been feeling helpless tucked away in isolation and hoped the message would help lift morale a little.

"An ambulance stopped whilst we were working on it, and took time time to talk to us. What a moment."
