Travellers leave Hastings car park

A number of travellers’ caravans which arrived in Hastings on Tuesday (May 26) have now left.

A spokesman for Hastings Borough Council said around a dozen vans parked in Rock-a-Nore car park overnight on Tuesday.

He added the travellers left earlier this morning (Thursday, May 28).

The council said via Twitter: “Our thanks to the police and our colleagues at East Sussex County Council for their help.

“We have inspected the site and are arranging for our waste services team to clear the minimal rubbish left behind.”
