Phil rocks out

If you want to be rocked, Phil Hilbourne's the man to do it.

Billed as an "extraordinary" guitarist, Phil is soon to appear live at Bexhill Athletic Club where he will play the music he has performed in the massive hit Queen musical We Will Rock You in the West End.

Phil is a number one studio and live call player in London and has performed in the Queen show written by Ben Elton more than 600 times.

He has also toured extensively with his own band and for nearly 20 years with Iron Maiden drummer Nicko McBrain.

In the studio and live Phil has done work for television shows aired on BBC, Channel 4 and ITV and has worked with many internationally known artsts such as Walden, Keith Emerson, John Entwhistle, Paul Gilbert, Steve Vai, Joe Pass, Uli Jon Roth, Franke Gambale, Vinnie Moore, Glenn Highes, Martin Taylor, Brian May, Bernie Marsden, Mel Galley, Bruce Dickinson, Mo Foster, members of Motorhead, Iron Maiden and others.

He has also played on countless albums and tracks and has been on a UK chart hit single with Roger Daltry and members of Iron Maiden.

Phil was also the first person in the UK to write regular Rock instructional colums in Guitarist magazine, and also co-founded Guitar Techniques magazine and has had articles published in Guitar Word, Total Guitar and Guitarista in Spain.

He will be playing at Bexhill Athletic club on Friday January 16 and intends to perform songs from We Will Rock You and many other tunes and techniques that he has become famous for. As well as playing, Phil will be chatting about his career and open to questions from the audience.
