Following several days of complaints, Bexhill’s Christmas tree is being re-decorated today (Wednesday December 10).

The tree, in Devonshire Square, was branded ‘pitiful’, ‘embarrassing’ and even ‘not worth vandalising’ due to its lacklustre lights and bare branches.

But thanks to the efforts of determined Bexhillians Lindsay White and Sharna Wray (pictured), Rother District Council’s contractors have returned to the site to try and give the town the tree it deserves.
