Crowds came to St Stephen's Church Hall for some last minute gifts and to enjoy the cake stalls.

Visitors could also enjoy the raffles and games on offer.

Santa took time to listen to what youngsters wanted for Christmas before the elves turned his room into a disco hall.

Supervisor Karen Saunderson said: "It has been going very well. I don't recognise a lot of the people here as being with our children so we must be attracting members of the public.

"We decided to have it on a Saturday when people are out and about. It is especially nice that Father Christmas is here because it can be quite difficult to find him."
