Police are appealing for witnesses after about £200 worth of damage was caused to a silver Volkswagen van in Terminus Avenue, Bexhill.

Police were called just after 2am on Thursday (September 17) to a report that a man had been seen approaching the parked vehicle with a torch in his hand.

The suspect, who was wearing a black hooded top, then ran towards West Court Drive where it is believed he got into a black car which drove off.

When police examined the van, they found a hole had been punched through its side window.

Witnesses are asked to email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call 101 quoting reference 0074 of 17/09.
