Police seek gun blonde in tandoori attack

POLICE in Bexhill are hunting a blonde with a gun following an attack on a tandoori restaurant.

Local officers and Hastings CID are appealing for any member of the public who was in Sackville Road at about 9.3pm last Thursday night and saw or heard anything to contact them.

Police said a small red car pulled up outside the Anwar restaurant. A woman aged 30 to 40 in dark clothing and with permed blonde hair got out of the rear, walked up to the window of the restaurant and pointed what is believed to have been a starting pistol at staff inside before loosing off two shots.

The blonde was dragged back into the car by a second woman and the car, with two men in the front sped off towards Terminus Road. Police have been investigating previous attacks against the restaurant, believed to have been racially-motivated.
