Purrfect listener smokes out new residence

APPARENTLY there's no smoke without fire, but in the case of Bexhill-based insurers Hastings Direct there's no smoking without 'Harryetta.'

The newest member of staff, and feline friend, of the local insurance group, Harryetta, has taken up residence in the smoking hut of the company's offices in Collington Avenue.

The cat has been adopted by the 979 Hastings Direct employees who have provided her with a new basket and blanket.

Harryetta appears around 7.30am each morning, where she tucks into an IAMS breakfast before settling down to a nap before lunch.

Staff including Jess Moon and Andy Carr regularly share an alfresco lunch with her of cheese or tuna sandwiches.

Darren Ford, HR Trainer, Hastings Direct said: "Harryetta is one of the most popular members of staff because she is the purrfect listener!"
