RAFA President's Band

Tickets are still available for the Royal Air Forces Association President's band concert tomorrow night at St Augustine's church.

It promises to be an stirring evening of nostalgia and pride as the 35-piece band perform much loved favourites such as 633 Squadron, Dambusters and the Battle of Britain March, film and television themes and martial music.

The concert starts at 7.30pm and is in aid of Wings Appeal but also celebrates the 90th anniversary of the formation of the Royal Air Force.

In true Last Night Of The Proms style, the concert will end with Jerusalem, Fantasia On British Sea Songs, and Pomp and Circumstance March No.1.

Bexhill RAFA president Ken Igglesden promises the concert will include a special surprise which is going to be "exceptional".

He said: "It will be a smashing concert."

Ticket sales have so far been slow and so Ken is hoping good numbers will turn up tomorrow to buy tickets (10 each) on the door - St Augustine's church is in Cooden Drive and has ample parking.
