Rail operator launch competition to find 'Little Loco'

Loco is inviting parents to enter children into the competition for the chance to star in the new campaign as 'Little Loco' and win a fantastic family day out.

Loco says: "If you want to become mucho famous like me, send in your best Loco impressions."

The competition is open to boys and girls aged between 5-11 years old who live the south of England.

To enter, children are asked to send a picture or film of themselves looking like Loco, possibly dressed up in his famous green cape, or recreating one of his poster poses.

The lucky child chosen to play Little Loco will take part in their very own photo shoot in London, reecive a free family day out, including return rail travel for up to 2 adults and 2 children to London, and tickets to an attraction of their choice courtesy of Southern Railway.

There will be six winners in total. Each winner will appear in one poster to be displayed in either Eastbourne, Brighton, Croydon, Portsmouth, Southampton, and Redhill stations.

In addition all winners will appear in a group poster to be displayed in the other 151 Southern stations.

Entries should be submitted by a parent or guardian and children must have permission before entering.

Entrants will need to be available to attend a photoshoot in London week commencing 31st May 2010 .

Return travel to London will be provided for each winner and an accompanying parent/guardian.

Todd Carty, former child star and ex-Eastender, who is supporting the search, said:

"If your little star is interested in becoming an actor or model, this is a great opportunity to experience what goes into making an advert and all the work that's involved.

"It's a great campaign and I would have loved a chance like this when I was starting out."
