Bexhill couple Mark and Lynda Lynham celebrated their Golden wedding anniversary by renewing their marriage vows at St Barnabas Church where they worship.
The Revd. Colin Gibbs, who conducted the renewal of the marriage vows, said: “Any couples today who can celebrate 50 years of happy marriage are to be congratulated, and in Mark and Lynda’s case especially, as they have been a real help and inspiration to their family and to many hundreds of people with their joint ministry of prayer and healing. Long may they be blessed and enjoy further years of their lives together.”
The ceremony was witnessed by Lynda and Mark’s family, and their fellow church members and they enjoyed a party afterwards.
Lynda said: “The greatest memory we have is of the time in 1981 when we became committed Christians.
“Since that time we have been involved in Christian Ministry. Both of us trained as Readers in the Anglican Church (in Rochester Diocese). We have been involved in Hospital Chaplaincy (Kent and Sussex Hospital) and also ministered for many years around the country .”
Lynda and Mark, who moved to Bexhill in 2006 and are active members at St Barnabas. They have three children Stephen, Andrea and Anita and seven grandchildren - two boys and five girls.
