Start revving up those bikes, polish the chrome, dust off the leathers and prepare to have some fun whilst raising cash for charity with the annual ‘Chase the Ace Rally’, and ‘Poker Run’.
The event, organised by The Norsemen Motorcycle Club (MCC) Sussex, will be held over the weekend of June 5-7, and attracts bikers from all over the country. Now in its tenth year the event has raised thousands of pounds for local charities.
Norseman MCC President Paul says this year they hope the event will be bigger and better than ever.
He said: “Each year we organise the ‘Chase the Ace Rally’ and ‘Poker Run’ to raise money for charity. The rally runs from a Friday to Sunday in the summer, with all the usual things that a rally has to offer; good company, camping, bands, food, and of course lots of bikes, food and drink.”
The Poker Run takes place on Saturday June 6 with five stops along the way, and can be ridden in which ever order you choose.
At various stops along the route you pick a card. Once you have five cards you hand them in and at the end of the day the person with the highest Poker hand wins, with cash prizes for first, second and third places.
Entry to the Poker Run costs £5. Camping costs £15 inclusive and entry to the evenings entertainment on either Friday or Saturday is £5.
