Rotarians have a brew up!

BEXHILL Rotarians have brewed up a unique idea to make money for charity.

The group have enlisted the help of the 1066 Country Brewery, based in Pebsham Lane, to provide a beer tent at the East Sussex and Kent Rotary Clubs' Fun Day, on June 6.

The rotary club will receive a share of the profits, and in addition a number of specially labelled bottles of 'Rotary Beer' will be sold.

The FunDay, at the Kent County Showground, in Dettling, will feature music, classic cars, a fairground and other attractions to make money for children's hospices in the region.

The idea for the beer tent, followed an enjoyable tour by the club of the Bexhill brewery last year.

President Roger Heyes, said: "The quality of the beer makes the 1066 Country Brewery an ideal partner for us and we are bound to give pleasure to the visitors while making a very worthwhile contribution to our charities."

Lesley White, from the brewery, said: "We are very pleased to be involved in this important occasion and support Bexhill Rotary Club in this wonderful FunDay. The idea of Rotary Beer is fun in itself and we hope the day will be successful, especially as everyone has worked so hard."
