With donations added to door collection over 700 was raised, and another event is now being planned with the aim of breaking the world record.

Row4Charity is raising money to send a team of four rowers to compete in a race across the Indian Ocean, and also donate to The Stroke Association. They would like to thank Daniel Beckley and Emma Hollamby of the Retreat in St Leonards Road for allowing their premises to be used as well as leading sessions themselves. They were well supported with expert tuition from Clara Montforte and Piers Anderson.

A spokesman for the team said: "We would like to express our sincere thanks to all those who gave up their time and sleep to take part in this event."
