RSPCA fundraiser success

An open day at Freezeland Farm raised £968 for the RSPCA.

Members of the public were invited to look around the gardens, meet Osborne the Emu, as well as the family Llama and birds, and the event also included refreshments, stalls and games.

Local branch chairman Mary Bristow said: "It was amazing for us, so thanks to Margaret and Bill Van Draat for their generosity in opening the farm for us."

She added: "We have got so many animals at the moment - we are full. It would be lovely if people would like to come and adopt a pet - please get in touch with us."
