The 'cat-tombola' proved to be very popular as did Tracy Docksey's plant stall.

Lunches, teas, coffees, cakes and scones were also served.

Chairman of the Sussex East & Hastings Branch of the RSPCA Mary Bristow said she was, "incredibly grateful' for the opportunity to hold the fund-raising event at the farm, adding: "People seem to think that the RSPCA is a wealthy charity but it's not. We are self-financing, self-funding and rely on the dedication of our volunteers."
