Sam wins gymnastics medal
CHARTERS Ancaster Preparatory school's Sam Knight-Farman achieved second place in the 2011 Team Gym British Championships at the GL1 Leisure centre in Gloucester.
He competed as part of the 1066 Gymnastics Academy team the 1066 Terrors, for eight to 12-year-olds, which has enjoyed a successful season collecting county and regional titles.
Sam said: “I really enjoyed taking part in the British Championships and was delighted to win a medal in my class.
“I competed in vault, floor and tumble and came second in my section at national level.
“I have been training hard and do four hours a week at the 1066 Gymnastic Academy.”
