Scout car wash at fire station

IT WAS all hands to the pumps and sponges at Bexhill fire station on Saturday for the First Little Common Scout Group's car wash event.

Cleaning up their act to raise funds for activities and camping equipment were Beavers, Cubs and Scouts aged six to 14.

Many car owners took advantageof the hands-on service, with approximately 50 cars lining up throughout the day to be hand washed and then hosed down with one of the fire station's powerful pumps

Group Scout Leader, Ralph Larkin said the group had all worked hard and had, "done very well," raising 150 for club funds.
