ST MARY Magdalene Church Hall, Magdalene Road, is the venue for the Indie screening of the climate blockbuster movie on climate change called The Age of Stupid.

Set in the future and starring Pete Postlethwaite the four year epic, which carries a 12A certificate, was filmed in the UK, America, Nigeria, Iraq, Jordan, India and the Alps.

Described as the story of one man living alone in the devastated world of 2055, the movie looks back at 'archive' footage from 2007 and asks: why didn't we stop climate change when we had the chance?

The screening is on 7th July at 7.30pm. Tickets cost 2.00 and are available in advance by calling (01424) 845225.
