Senior Citizens club Christmas Concert

A CHRISTMAS concert was held at the Bexhill Senior Citizens club in Eversley Road on Thursday.

Over fifty people enjoyed a selection of modern and traditional Christmas carols and poems, including old favourites such as Silent Night and White Christmas, performed under the expert guidance of choir mistress and club Chair, Janet Szlaur.

Accompanying the talented choir - some of whom performed solo pieces - on the piano was Mavis Foskett.

In addition, two choir members also wrote and performed their own pieces.

June English sang her aptly titled 'June's Song', and Chris Dyson performed an entertaining short sketch of his poem 'seagull'.

Committee member Sheila King said the concert had been a very entertaining afternoon for all.

She said: "This is the second time we have held a Christmas concert and it went really well. It was enjoyed by all '“ they get better every year."
