Bexhill Horse Show is back for the May Bank Holiday Monday and it is bigger and better than ever.
Back by popular demand is Dog Show Jumping and new for this year is the introduction of a side saddle costume class with ladies in historic dress parading around the show ground at the Polegrove.
The show claims to be one of the only ones of its kind left in the country, aimed at bringing the local community together, be they horse lovers or not, this show has an attraction for everyone.
Last year saw the horse and charity dog show combine as a community event bringing the town of Bexhill and its residents together with horses and their favourite canine companions to show what a truly unique event this is.
This year Bexhill Horse Show has a number of new and exciting attractions as well as some old favourites.
As always they have the Majestic Shire Horses from South Eastern Shire Horse Association and the much loved and crowd pleasing Coakham Blood Hounds.
They also have a Flyball display team who will be putting their speedy and co-ordinated canines through their paces in the Main Ring.
As always, the show offers a variety of jumping classes for amateur and professional riders and many in-hand and ridden showing classes, including Mountain, Moorland and Working Hunter classes. The show also offers spectators a chance to see driving horses in action and these turnouts are always a great spectacle.
The dog show will commence at 12.30pm with something for every dog owner and type of dog. There are classes for both pedigree dogs and family pets, owners of all ages welcome. All proceeds go to St Michaels Hospice.
There are many trade stands, bouncy castles, children’s activities, charity stalls and local clubs like the East Sussex Astronomical Society with their telescopes and free give a ways, If the Sun is out look through the special Solar Scopes to see the beauty of the Sun.
