Bexhill will join towns up and down the country to pledge its support to the NHS later this month.
At 11am on Saturday February 28, campaigners across England will be out in force to ask people to sign the ‘Save Our NHS’ petition as a protest against any future cuts and privatisation.
Campaigners will be waiting with the petition by the Post Office in Devonshire Square.
The nationwide event is being organised by 38 Degrees, an independent political-activism organisation.
In a statement, 38 Degrees said: “ We need the NHS at our best and worst moments in life. It belongs to all of us and we’re all proud of it.
“Helping get more signatures on the petition in Bexhill and Battle would be a massive boost to our nationwide push to protect our NHS for future generations.”
