Snow Day: Schools close across Bexhill

Nearly all Bexhill schoolchildren were celebrating this morning after increasingly harsh weather closed most of Bexhill's schools.

Temperatures plummeted to minus four overnight, freezing much of the yesterday's slush.

Both St Richard's Catholic College and Bexhill High closed for the day, with nearly all primary schools following suit.

All Saints CE Primary, Chantry Community Primary, Little Common Primary, Ninfield CE Primary, Pebsham Community Primary, Sidley Community Primary and St Peter and St Paul CofE are all closed.

St Mary Magdalene's Catholic Primary and King Offa Primary are open, though staff at King Offa were urging parents not to bring children in unless necessary.

They added it was likely the school would closed tomorrow, barring a drastic and unexpected change in the weather.

This information was pulled directly from schools, and from East Sussex County Council's school closure website, which is updated regularly. To check the latest status of your child's school, please visit: www.eastsussex.gov.uk/educationandlearning/schools/schoolclosures.htm
