SPLAT charity team plans fire station abseil

THERE are less sinister acronyms than SPLAT for a team preparing to do a sponsored charity abseil.

However, 10 members attending a Prince's Trust Team Programme which requires them to raise money to help people in the community are planning to walk down the five-storey drill tower at Bexhill fire station on Thursday, November 27.

Team member Louise Blaycock says: "Our team have decided to help single mums and their children by organising an activities week for them, so they can get out an interact with other single mums and also so that their kids can play and have fun with other kids.
