St Richards sports day

MORE THAN 600 pupils competed in the annual Sports Day at St. Richard's Catholic College.

Despite blustery conditions, many college and individual records in athletic events were broken on the day.

Traditionally, pupils belong to four houses - Howard, Gwynne, Rigby and Wells - and each house gains points for competitors' places in the track and field events. This year saw one of the closest competitions in college history with the lead changing between the houses throughout the day.
