A prestigious stage school, which was established in Bexhill a decade ago, has moved into a new home.

The Theatre Workshop Stage School is now based at the Bexhill High School.

The Theatre Workshop offers young people aged six to 16 the opportunity to train in all aspects of performing arts and works in association with one of the UK’s top young actor’s agencies.

Its students can be seen performing across the industry, in West End shows such as Matilda and Billy Elliot and on TV screens in programmes such as Game of Thrones, Doctor Who, Eastenders, Emmerdale, Call the Midwife, Hank Zipzer, The 4 O’Clock Club and Dani’s Castle.

Students are given classes in singing, dancing and acting by West End professionals, providing incomparable and up-to-date training.

This year is full of exciting opportunities for students, including a grand concert at the Brighton Dome, West End musical masterclasses, agency bootcamp, Fringe Festival performances, casting director workshops, a film screening and more. And one group of dancers have been selected to perform in Strictly Come Dancing star Pasha Kovalev’s tour in Hastings.

TTW’s creative director Lora Munro said: “Bexhill High School has brilliant facilities, with brand new theatre and dance studio spaces, making it the perfect setting for our school. We can’t wait to return to Bexhill High.”

Session run on a Saturday from 10am-1pm at Bexhill High School and is open to students aged six-16.
