There’s the chance to take a closer look at the moon tomorrow (July12) with East Sussex Astronomical Society (ESAS).

Its been designated ‘Show the World the Moon Day’ but not only will the Moon be on show but Saturn is at it’s best at the moment and on show will be its open rings and it’s brightest Moon Triton.

ESAS will be on the South Terrace of the De La Warr Pavilion showing members of the public these wonders of the Universe, with telescopes, from 9pm till late (depending on weather conditions).

Take along Smart phones with cameras and compact digital cameras and have a go at Astro Photography. “It’s surprising what good results can be obtained by holding your camera to the eyepiece of a telescope”, said Andy Lawes Founder and Chairman of ESAS.
