Starr Wars watersports challenge for city charities

Giant paddle boarding, kayaking, raft building and a raft race will take place on Hove Lagoon to raise cash for two Brighton charities.

The Starr Water Wars Challenge on September 2 is in aid of the The Starr Trust and the Rockinghorse Children’s Charity

Rosie Molloy, fundraising manager at The Starr Trust, said: “This is a fantastic chance for local businesses to compete against each other whilst fundraising for both our charities. For businesses who don’t wish to take part, there will be some great advertising opportunities, so please do get in touch to sign up.”

Terrina Barnes, corporate fundraising manager at Rockinghorse, said: “We’re very much looking forward to our first Starr Water Wars event and it’s such a great opportunity to partner with another local charity to raise money for young people in Sussex. Get in touch to book your team!”

Entry is £300, with a maximum of four people per team, and it will include food and drink on the day, an event t-shirt and participant medal.

There will also be plenty of live entertainment throughout the day.
