Summer comes to Bexhill's Farmers' Markets

LOCALLY-grown strawberries and other soft fruit will be a seasonal feature once more at the town's two Farmers' Markets.

Market organiser Cllr Stuart Wood: "Summer is with us and Tanyard Fruit Farm will be along to the markets with their soft fruit in season, starting off with their strawberries.

"We will then be able to start making the smoothies from the soft fruit with milk which is always a great delight to those who come along to the markets.

"The next market is at St Martha's Church Hall, Little Common, on the second Thursday in the month, being June 12, followed by the fourth Thursday in the month at Parkhurst Hall, Bexhill. Both start at 9am till noon."

Cllr Wood emphasised that the future of the town's two Farmers' Markets remains dependent on full use being made of them by the public in order to continue to attract stalls by local producers.
